Three Ways That You Can Improve How You Use Social Media:

1. Unfollow accounts that do not ADD VALUE to your life, or UPLIFT your spirits.

I think that we like to come up with excuses for following certain influencers, when we don't realize that viewing these false perceptions of reality is actually influencing us NEGATIVELY.
Whether this person "inspires you to travel" or "motivates you to work out" or "eat more healthy"....
 I'm not buying it.
If it makes you feel AT ALL negatively about your current lifestyle, then unfollow that account.
Do it.
You can follow a certain political movement, public figures, or church leaders that share content that feeds your soul instead!

2. Only post meaningful content.

This really only applies to people that are building a brand, or marketing a business.
But posting constantly, and sharing your personal life to a bunch of strangers is a quick way to get competitive, obsessive, and disappointed when your content isn't as popular as so-and-so's.
PLUS, when you DO share content that comes from the heart, you are helping to inspire, uplift, and edify others!
Isn't that great!?
Change the tone of social media and use it to uplift!

3. Use Social Media to do good

You can follow The National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, and help share missing children posters.
You can follow your local police department, to help share criminals that are wanted- and get these people off of our streets as soon as possible.
Or you may choose to follow certain humanitarian/charity accounts and share content that will educate others on how they can help others in need.
Or share other educational content that will be helpful to your followers.

Just ask yourself while scrolling through your feeds, "Is this content adding value to my life?"
If the answer is no...then you know what to do!
